I have been taking time to draw cards almost daily lately. It's less than a fortnight till my birthday, and this is my attempt to slow things down, take more snapshots of each day, each event, each significant moment as 2012 winds down.
This morning the Empowerment Card I drew was Creativity. Second time in a week, in fact. I've been paying attention. Two new blog posts today (this is the 3rd), a couple new art pieces done and in the works in the last couple days ... it feels so good. I really do feel more connected to my Self when I indulge in these avenues of expression.
Then my suite-mate, Cyndi, came in. She brought out Doreen Virtue's Life Purpose Oracle Cards. I hadn't played with them much at all, but she urged me to draw two. Wow.
Spiritual Teacher(You heal with your classes, sessions, and seminars) was the first one, and The Artist (Engaging in artistic activities is beneficial to your career and every other area of your life). I couldn't believe it. Sometimes you just have to laugh. OK, if I was questioning my being here, manifesting a healing/teaching practice, I guess that takes care of that. And, seeking ways to create a revenue stream from my artwork--I guess it's worth expending my energy in that direction, too.
I'm gratified for this information/inspiration/confirmation from my Higher Self. These messages that come to us from Spirit, whether seeing 11:11 on the clock, or hearing a song with particular meaning randomly on the car radio, or a card showing in our day or an animal crossing our path, these can be received, with grace, as support from our Friends who watch over us. I for one, appreciate all the help I can get during the tumult and techno-toxicity that can pervade our days.
Take in the messages, watch for the signs; then act on them! You just might find some comfort, some solace, some validation or direction that eases your day, your path, your heart and mind.
Blessings on your day. Pick a card, any card!
